Stonewall Resort’s Fast-Track Formula for Flawless Weddings
When it comes to weddings, the world seems to run on a two-year timer.
Pinterest boards stretch on for miles. Guest lists balloon into spreadsheets. And somewhere in the chaos, the idea of a short engagement has been tossed in the "impossible" pile.
But Haleigh Schultz, an experienced planner at Stonewall, is here to say: hold the drama, not the date.
As she put it, "If you trust me, I can promise you it'll be just as great as it would be if you waited two and a half years."
The Big Fat Wedding Myth
Weddings, according to the internet and reality TV, are supposed to be long, elaborate production timelines.
From "Say Yes to the Dress" to venues booked out years in advance, couples are conditioned to think speed equals sacrifice.
"I think they see someone who plans two years out... and they're exasperated over two years," Haleigh explains. "When you're doing all those steps over a long process, it seems, 'Oh gosh, that would be way too stressful to condense into a few months.'"
And let’s not ignore the passive-aggressive relatives who clutch their pearls at the thought of anything short of a "proper" timeline.
The result? Panic. Paralysis. And a whole lot of overthinking.
Rushed Means Ruined?
The assumption that a fast wedding equals a cheap or chaotic one is outdated.
Haleigh says one of the most common myths she busts is the idea that "you never get everything that you want."
While yes, certain custom items (like made-to-measure gowns) do need lead time, a lot of wedding essentials are surprisingly flexible.
"Frankly, a lot of vendors aren't even looking at those contracts at nine months," she says. Catering? Design? "We can do them quickly."
And here's the real kicker: quick weddings can even cost less.
"Sometimes a quick wedding does have a little bit bigger of a budget if we have to rush on things," Haleigh admits, "but that's not all the time and that's not always the case."
Trust the Pros, Skip the Stress
At all-inclusive venues like Stonewall, a condensed timeline isn't a crisis. It's a game plan.
"My biggest thing is I just make them feel comfortable with my abilities, with the team's abilities," Haleigh shares. That trust turns timelines into checklists and checklists into celebrations.
She tells the story of a couple who called her in October wanting to get married on Black Friday.
Moms panicked. Deadlines loomed. But after the first few meetings? Calm. Clarity. Confidence.
"The wedding was stunning. And they even got the snow that they requested during their ceremony."
Moral of the Story? Don't Wait for Perfect
Fast doesn’t mean frantic.
With the right team, it means focused. Personalized. Beautiful. The fairy tale doesn’t need two years to be written; just the right people holding the pen.
So if you're staring down a calendar and wondering if six months is too fast to say "I do," Haleigh Schultz has a simple answer: "We've done it before. It's nothing new to us."
Turns out, happily ever after might just show up early.
