Meet the Sales Team
Steve Ludwig, Director of Sales and Marketing
Steve returned to West Virginia to join the Stonewall Resort team in 2007 after spending the last 25 years in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, California and North Carolina leading hotel sales teams for major branded hotels and resorts as well as independent properties. Steve’s favorite part of the resort is the beauty and challenge of the Arnold Palmer Signature Course.
He serves on the Board of Directors for the Mountain Lakes Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Stonewall State Park Foundation and is a committee member for the Governor’s One Shot Doe Hunt. He is a volunteer for the WVU Entrepreneurship Center and is currently attending the CJIS Division FBI Citizen’s Academy. A graduate of West Virginia University, Steve enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family and cheering on the Mountaineers whenever possible. He is a native of Jackson County, West Virginia.
Zondra Plum, Director of Conference Services
Zondra is responsible for managing and organizing all the details of a group’s meeting. She is a skilled professional when it comes to helping the groups get the most our of their meetings.
She joined Stonewall Resort 9 years ago as a conference manager. Her knowledge of the surrounding area and resort facilities are unmatched.
Zondra grew up in Harrison County West Virginia and her favorite hobby is projects that benefit the needy.
Shelley Gutta, Sales Manager
Shelley Gutta has been on the team for 8 years informing meeting planners how Stonewall Resort can inspire their attendees within the beautiful setting. She works with associations, health care, non-profits and higher education groups.
Shelley has been awarded multiple Benchmark Hospitality International Awards including the 2005 Platinum Award, 2007 Bulldog Award and the 2009 Award of Excellence. Additionally, she graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Political Science.
In her spare time, Shelley volunteers at the Randolph County Humane Society and is training to run her first 10K.
Robin Poling, Sales Manager
Robin joined the Stonewall Resort team as it was being built in 2002. In fact, she remembers giving hard hat tours to prospective clients. As a sales manager she focuses on showing conference, meeting, and retreat planners the Stonewall Resort experience.
Working with the government segment is one of her specialties. She understands the regulations and required paper work. Additionally, Robin is an avid golfer and was raised in the area. In fact, her family used to make hay on the meadow across from Stillwaters Restaurant.
Robin has a bachelor’s degree in Resource Management and a Masters in Agriculture from West Virginia University. Plus, a master’s degree in Economic Development from Oklahoma University at Norman. In her spare time, you can find Robin outdoors golfing, gardening or hunting deer. Additionally, she has been an assistant 4-H leader for 25 years, plays the organ for her church and is a member of the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors.
Shelly Vickers, Sales Manager
Shelly is the newest Stonewall Resort team member and has 11 years of successful experience in hotel and convention sales, with her most recent position being at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh.
She is based in Pittsburgh with that being one of her primary markets; along with Pennsylvania, Ohio, and religious based accounts. As a Sales Manager for Stonewall, she coordinates “work and play” events that encompass recreational activities with conferences, meetings, and retreats.
Shelly grew up not too far from the Stonewall Resort in Washington, PA. She studied at California University of PA where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism. She enjoys spending most of her time with her husband and their two young children and loves photography, painting, and working out in her spare time. One of her new passions is researching her family ancestry, she hopes to one day retrace their steps back to Ireland.
Kelli Cottrill, CMP, Senior Event Planning Manager
Kelli joined the Stonewall Resort team 9 years ago as Banquet Manager, spending the past 8 years in the Conference Planning office. As the Senior Event Planning Manager she plans and manages the activities of the groups that come to Stonewall Resort.
She is an expert on how to set up a room to accommodate your event to handling the little details you managed to help make your event a success. Kelli obtained her Certified Meeting Planner certification, also referred to as “CMP” in August of 2008, through the Convention and Industry Council. She was featured in the 2007 “Meeting Planners to Watch in 2007” in Convention South Magazine and also selected as a “High-Five 2009 Platinum Planner” by WV Executive Magazine.
She grew up in Weston, West Virginia and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Kelli graduated from West Virginia University and is an avid College basketball fan.
Leslea Gillum, Event Planning Manager
Leslea’s first job at Stonewall Resort 7 years ago was the golf shop attendant. She worked in golf operations until she completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University.
Now, she is responsible for organizing the functions of groups who come to Stonewall Resort and planning golf events. Leslea is an invaluable resource for group planners.
She grew up in Buckhannon, West Virginia and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Plus, she likes to fit in a little shopping when she can.
